I reread the Potter books and I really loved the flashbacks in HBP. I found the whole Merope story fascinating. But after rereading it I found my mind going down some rather nasty paths.

I mean if its true they married their cousins to keep the blood-line going, I had to wonder if they'd get even more desperate...I dunno. I have a sick mind.

Its interesting to think about, even if it is totally messed up.

She totally didn't deserve a life like the one she had, even if that abuse never actually happened. I mean...once she finally opened up to Tom Riddle Senior, he ran for the hills. How heart-breaking would that be? Rowling went all out to make us feel sorry for the poor girl...geez.
