I’m glad you’re having so much fun with it. Do you think being a fan of history it adds to the buzz?

I don't know. I suspect so as I know something of the era in which they lived. My g-g-grandmother, for instance, was widowed young and the next census sees her living with her daughters at another address and working as a char. All I can think is how difficult it must have been for them all.

I bet it was, no financial support (except from family and friends) like you get now. People don’t realise how easy they have it these days.
