Oh my god I am so late with this comment and I am a terrible person sjhgjkdshgkjsh I AM SO SORRY.

That said, I really love this. ._. Such an interesting scenario, and not the sort of post-1999 Fuuma & Subaru sort of thing I've really seen before. The idea of Fuuma's concern/contempt for Subaru is also really interesting and unusual, considering how so much post-series stuff focuses on their rapport. I like the way you've used the idea of Subaru being blind and left it and other things ambiguous--especially the ending, omg, are you trying to kill me.

I... somehow forgot how TRAGIC of a character (and story, I guess :[) Subaru Sumeragi is... + Seishirou and all that Tokyo Babylon/X(15!!!) goodness (or badness). Thanks for reminding me. Again, my love and hate of Clamp just flings me hither dither. Sigh. Really, thank you.

I just realised that the title's very apt. 16, 17, 25, 4,10, recurring numbers and equations. That's my second reaction. Better than my first reaction, which was 'whoa...'. I didn't realise Subaru's blind until Fuuma mentioned the doctors, then I realised Subaru's descriptions were of sound and textures, not of sight. I love that interaction between Fuuma and Subaru...I knew who Kiku was as soon as you mentioned her mother died in Ebisu. Geh, an amusing pair. Someone who truly wishes to live and someone who has nothing to live. I thought she was Hokuto's reincarnation, the way Subaru described her earlier on.

I love/hate the ambiguities...lend to the atmosphere but I'm left so puzzled. Both Choices of Subaru - to kill her...or to make her his successor - I dread them. I hope there's another course of action...or I hope I misinterpreted the choices wrongly.
