Okay, so I've only now been able to log on to LJ. I've a paid account! I do not pay for it to constantly (and only!) show me the log in screen over and over and over! (except for how, for the past few months, that's exactly what I did ( Read more... )

My oldest ferret girly passed away; rescued another ferret girl (has cancer); my other rescue got diagnosed with cancer as well, all are being treated :) Our oldest dog is sick, as well, (she's 14) but we're getting her through it. All in all, not too bad, considering.

How are you and the bb?

(also, I missed you!)

Well, if you call him a baby, he'd ignore you all indignant, 'cause 'I'm not a baby, I'm a big boy!' His words, not mine.

We took in a kitten, who promptly pass away. Sad face. The thing about keeping dogs and cats and ferrets are that they all pass away.

I'm still all right with SPN, pretty much the only TV I watch, only not on TV. hee.

Missed you too!

Aww, they get big (and independent) so fast! My youngest niece (another girl!) is already crawling and standing, and I swear just yesterday she was an itty bitty thing!

Sorry about the kitty! That's always so rough, but when they're babies they are so vulnerable without mama cat and their littermates :C And yeah - we always, when things are well, forget how short their little lives are compared to ours. At least, I'm never really prepared for losing my furbabies ;_;

I'll still flip to SPN when I remember it's on (Wednesday timeslot? Ouch), but I don't listen, I'll glance up to see faces (yay for being shallow) while listening to music and reading.

Hi! Also, sadfaces. I haven't watched Supernatural since I missed an ep halfway through season 6 and never caught up. And now I am le sad. Everything I heard suggested it was deteriorating, but I was holding out hope, too. Drats.

Teen Wolf does look awesome; I should watch some. Arrow is also awesome, for the record (judging by the one ep that there has been). <3 I could watch that guy read a phone book, but instead he spends 42 minutes being a BAMF. It's great and I approve. :D

I, uh, finally finished a fic again for the first time in almost a year. So you may want to check that out? Possibly? *shrug*

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE lonetread fic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *ahem* I mean. Why yes. Yes I will check it out.

Oh, and re: SPN. That's just my opinion, ymmv! But yeah, the beginning of the end, and I really hope this season is the last - they seem to be reaching and struggling for material

I am pretty much that excited to get another one of your awesome comments, too, so that makes us even. :D Unfortunately, this 'verse in general, I'm pretty meh about it. I've got some WIPs that are going to be piles of awesome when they're done and will more than deserve that reaction, but I think it might be premature here. I'll let you be the judge of that, though. I'm just still overjoyed I'm finally done with something, lol.

I'm not surprised to hear they're running out of material. I mean, they're on, what, season 8 now? Who wouldn't be?

*waves* Are you well and sinister?

I am sticking grimly with Spn because Sam is still a fascinating character even when he isn't.

*waves* Well and sinister, with bloody sleeves and vials of poison >8D. How about you? Anything cooking?

I just ... can't. I don't find him fascinating at all. Just ... faily, and not in a dark, twisted or interesting way. Just as an excuse for more Dean angst, and while JA does angst prettily, I'm completely over it (to where I have been known to throw up in my mouth a little at teary man!pain Dean)

He is fascinating! It's just on a wavelength the writers mostly totally fail to capture, but it's there, out of the corner of your eye, right off the screen.

My life has been an unending succession of major family medical stuff since July. I'm somewhere between numb and run over. But I have very adorable cats.

I have ... ambiguously social cats. Also, my sister's peed on me. So that was fun (but not kitty's fault, she had a UTI and she's a rescue who got frightened from all the goings on).

I am so sorry to hear about the issues your family is having - I can empathize with it. Where one thing goes awry, many more follow. Here's hoping you catch a break and breathe and recupe. *hugs*

Aw, it makes me sad you've left the SPN shindig, but I'm glad to see you're still alive and kicking!

I'M ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE.

And yeah, it's weird, SPN was my OTF, I guess, I can't seem to really write any other fic (oh noes, is this it for writing fanfic for me? :C ). We'll see, we'll see.

I am thinking of just doing a WIP post and going ahead and posting all my SPN WIPs and snippets on it. There's a fair amount, but well. That might just be annoying!

Not annoying! POST THEM. If you build it, they will come. ;) And who knows? They may inspire some discussion, some further writing, you just never know.

You never know.
