Mmm, excellent. I have a real weakness for Kuroshitsuji fics that refuse to shy away from what Sebastian truly is. Agni's struggle is really well done. I also like how true you kept to the Agni's devotion to Soma. Because, yes of course that's what would pull Agni back. Fantastic ending as well.

Thank you! :D Agni's struggle was admittedly the hardest thing to write, since I didn't have much canon to go off and most of it was careful speculation. Sebastian is such a card; writing for him is perhaps more fun than is appropriate. ;D Again, thanks for taking the time to comment. It means a lot to me. ♥

Shorter this time, but ah well. starsplinter June 20 2010, 02:42:55 UTC
This section is a bit harder to comment on, because I keep going, "....guh." at the hotness. Fucking Sebastian. That and I've already gone over the characterization bits in the first comment ( ... )

I read this comment and grinned like a loon the entire time.

Thank you so much for your kind words about my imagery! Admittedly, “And Sebastian stood at the center of the mayhem, poised and confident, smiling serenely as he snapped his fingers in tune with each ear-splitting crash.” is probably my favorite line from the entire piece. :D So yay, glad you liked it, too! I'm also extremely happy that the symbolism is evident.

Transitioning between Agni and Arshad was perhaps even more difficult than writing Agni's struggle because we know close to nothing about Arshad other than he's devastatingly hot. I really like Arshad's character though--not as much as I love Agni, but you know. There is so much potential there.

Hopefully Sebastian returns your brain post haste. Thanks again for writing such a lovely comment. ♥
