WOW!! hope the pain goes away quick, keep it moist.
As someone who sunburns often, a vinegar bath works wonders for taking the sting out. Hope you feel better soon.

OUCH! Major OUCH!
I feel your pain - I've been there, I know how it feels. I got the blisters, though.
They still burn, right?
I used yoghurt (plain white full fat) as a thick mask, feels icky, but helped to get the burn down and to keep the skin hydrated.
When you shower, don't use cold water, but rather lukewarm. Cold water puts more stress on the blood vessels and could make the burn feel worse.
Nylon...not got for burns - cotton would be better. Nylon doesn't breathe well. You could also wet stockings (while wearing them) or towels, it helps cooling the legs. Don't do that longer than 10-15 minutes top, skin gets soft when it contact with water for too long (think bathtub effect).
And once you can get out - wear jeans ;-) The sun and even heat will hurt for quite some time. I hope you are not in that heatwave I keep hearing about...
