Thoughts on how a magical paternity* test would work?

Do they still take blood?
Do they just go to a Muggle hospital?
What does St Mungo's do?

IRL I believe that scientists compare the DNA of the child with the DNA of the possible father, that you can get from saliva. If there's a certain corrispondence, that's the biological father of the child.

I think that wizards would possibly use a spell to do the same thing. Do they know about DNA, though? Maybe they would compare the magical signature of father/child - or something like that.

In most of the fannons I've read they either add blood to a potion which is poured over a parchment or it is absorbed like ink in a magic quill.
OR
They go to Gringotts where the goblins use a potion mixed with blood that is either poured over a parchment or it is absorbed like in in a magic quill.
