It totally speaks to me. :) There is nothing more frustrating than writing 20K of a fic it took you ages to write and the ONLY response is "pls write seq". <-- and just like that, too. :/
I have been those ppl that wouldn't mind a sequel but I always write something more than just "sql pls?"
I usually say (if the story's been great): wow, that was great... i really liked this... and that... and would you consider continuing this ... with.... xxx?
I think that shows that the reader actually gave a crap or whatever... i just ... after like 10k / 20k / 30k/ ...
Ugh I hate that. Luckily I've never had in on a fest/meme, but I do when I post to ff. I also hate when you put a chapter up and all they ask is for more without properly reviewing the chapter you've just posted.

I've been that person. Ha ha! I usually go for something like, "This was wonderful! I'd love to read more of it!"
Don't hate me.

It's just frustrating when you pour your heart out and that's all you get... "hey can you write a sequel?"

I got one today for one of my anon fest fics and I was like... SERIOUSLY. THAT'S what you got from that?
"Please write a sequel?"
So i went trolling the internet for a good meme and then I just made one.

"Sequel please?"
Oh, yeah. I'll just crack out another 30k or so of this. No big deal. It's not as if the damn thing didn't take me months to pull together!
(Though I agree with previous comments, it's better than something along the lines of "This was weird." or "Why didn't you do XYZ?".)

But yes, it's fine if they give some indication that they've actually read what's already there.
