I'm far too much & sometimes not enough

I'm behind in every fest. EVERY SINGLE one of them. Even the ones I'm modding. Meanwhile, I made a claim and already submitted to a fest that isn't even due until October b/c I really wanted to do two prompts.

Sometimes I kick ass and on the same day I'm drowning.

I dropped out of my own fest (hp_drizzle for a fic prompt but managed to do some random art

That sucks, there's nothing quite like deadline anxiety.

Procrastinating can be such a pain, but if you're writing other things / making art, at least it's productive procrastination.

I really hope that your ass-kicking outweighs the drowning.

When deadlines are looming, I always like to think of that wonderful Leonard Bernstein quote:

"To achieve great things, two things are needed; a plan, and not quite enough time."

Don't stress yourself, Dig! Maybe focus on modding your fests bc other people need you for that too. Then write the things you want to.

Sometimes the muse doesn't want the same things than you do.

And don't be too hard on yourself.

Ha ha, this is me right now as well. I have three stories opened that I'm working on - none of them the two I have extensions on. (Which are for your fest and my fest).

I don't know, but I feel when it's for a fest I'm running, other's stories come first. I even claimed my own prompt, so if I don't add it I'm only disappointing myself. At least, I think.

Oh man. I hate deadline anxiety. Sometimes you have to drop out of things in order to stay afloat, to stay sane. I'm sure that you are - and still can - kicking all of the ass that you can muster! :)
