10,000+ hits on AO3

Blame The Full Moon has hit 11,000+ hits on AO3. It's a shameless PWP about Harry as a werewolf and Malfoy has his "healer" pffftt... right.

Still - that's rather unexpected for an awful WIP.

Also, I think most of AO3 is a bottom!Draco fan. My bottom!Harry fics get nowhere near that much love.

i just checked and my highest hits count is 12k+, followed by 9k+,next is 6k+, fourth and fifth are both 4k+.

all are hp. but what kind of irritates and bothers me is that i am not a fan of any but the fifth one. like i dont even ship the pairings. i wrote them for fun or for other people. and like they are short ficlets.

I think generally in H/D more people prefer bottom!draco to bottom!harry. I don't--I prefer whoever fits top or bottom for a specific fic! My bottom!draco fics are always more popular than the top!draco ones, for sure.

Woohoo, congrats! I've only got 6000 hits for my most popular one. Very exciting for you!! Weird about that top vs. bottom thing. But I have noticed people seem to be really into bottom!Draco. ::shrug::

it takes my fic to be on AO3 for at least two years before it makes it to 10K. This is the only one that made it so high so fast.

I'm not trying to hijack your post, but I have a couple thoughts about bottom!draco. In creature fics it absolutely makes sense (to me) for Harry to be the were and therefore Draco to bottom. And in mpreg, I totally prefer Draco to be pregnant. The whole it being a pureblood ability totally works for me. But in other scenarios I totally love slutty bottom Potters. Rawr.
