I have very few MERLIN friends on LJ and even less than that are the number of ppl that read my MERLIN FICS but right now I'm sitting at the very cafe that inspired "the Holy Grail" coffee shop from my androgenous!Merlin story: In your light (I learn how to love) and I'm sitting at the very seat where Merlin came and sat at Arthur's cafe every day

It looks like a lovely coffee shop! I marked that fic for later, as I always love a good coffee shop fic with Merlin/Arthur (or any coffee shop fic, actually!). Is it focused around the shop? I didn't have time to read it tonight, so maybe it isn't as central as it sounds here. If it is, you might consider tagging it with the "Alternate Universe - Coffee Shops & Cafés" tag. I actually search that one often (and even read them outside my usual fandoms!) and it's almost a for sure way to get me to click! :)

Woah that coffee shop is fabulous. Yeah, I tried to get into Merlin fandom, and I just couldn't.

yeah I totally understand. most of Merlin fandom is super fluff or ridiculous modern au -- the really good ones that are out there are very few and those people should just write original fiction, IMO.

Now those second ones I might read. I just didn't like the show...same reason I couldn't get into Dr Who, honestly. It felt too cheesy.
