Notes: So as some of you may know, I was recently in Istanbul celebrating my birthday and I met up with some locals and expats and we'd gone out clubbing. One of the randomest traditions I came across was when a guy from Brazil and a guy from Georgia (the country) said that we're going out for soup after clubbing until 4 am. I thought that was SO random. Then, it happened again and again, and I started to see a pattern amongst the locals that had this tradition. Imagine my delight when the hd-pots-n-porn had their prompt this month and it was SOUP! Please note that I am basing this off on my experience and I mean NO DISRESPECT to the Turkish culture or the people. I hope you enjoy this little drabblette.
“This is the silliest tradition that I’ve ever heard of,” Draco said, trying not to lean too close to his boyfriend as they made their way to Moddy’s on Istiklal Caddesi.
“It’s not a tradition, it’s just what people here do,” Harry said and wrapped his arm around Draco’s waist. They were both a bit drunk and were struggling to keep up with the group that was taking them out for çorba (soup).
“Potter, that is the definition of tradition!” Draco said, laughing.
They finally made it to Moddy’s and gathered around the table. It was their last night in Istanbul and the Turkish Aurors that both Draco and Harry had been working with were really just some of the greatest people they’d met. For their last night, they took the British Aurors to underground clubs around Taksim Square and they’d all danced all night.
Harry leaned over and whispered to Draco. “Maybe soup gets you sober fast and then it gets you horny,” he said.
Draco cleared his throat as he’d been caught in surprise by Harry’s statement. “Is that a promise, Potter?”
“Let’s walk back to the hotel and see how we feel.”
Draco grabbed a piece of bread and dipped it into his lentil soup. He had some sobering up to do.
