I mean, I'm not unaware of Association Football, but I've never really got why people trek to cold grounds in the arse-end of nowhere to watch blokes hoof a bladder to and fro.

I've thought about that but I'd have to go to every single match to do a proper Orient blog and my work/social life gets in the way. Plus there's already a very good, very funny Orient blog here. Thanks for the compliment anyway!

Great idea! There's so much drama and emotion just in this one blog post. It would definitely make a fantastic book, I think. Just write about a fictional East London team that bears a few passing resemblances... ;)

It even made the sports highlights on the news today in Greece. As I'd just read this post when it came on the TV, for once I could actually comment on football with a smidge of knowledge!
