So I've done the posters for the gig, totally forgot to show you them.
There is one in Black and one in White.

Let me know which one think looks better, I'm very undecided. I have a liking of the white but the black sits better with the left design.

Hmn, dunno, i'm quite drawn to the white, looks more professional I think.
But as you said the leaf design doesn't look like it should be there.
So, overall, I vote black, it's more complete.
I do like the leaf outline with the firey trees. :) ...just realised it's not fire *slow* Still like it though.

If I were in Nottingham with vodka tokens, I'd be sure to amble along. Unfortunately I'm not and I don't so i'll be dragging out my fishnets and rocking down to rocky horror. :)
Good luck with it though Mr. Fuzzy Darby.

thank you for your wishing and yes due to the stated issues I am inclind to use the black more. Specially as that's the way it was made originally.

No offence, but the white one looks terrible. If you're making such a high resolution poster then you to use high resolution imagery and crop it well. The leaf/tree/thing is way too pixelated and cut out horribly, on the black it's not so bad as it blends in, but on the white it looks aweful, though the black still doesn't hide it well enough. The anarchy logo has the opposite problem, it's way too blured, as if it was scaled up 300+% using bicubic filtering. Not bad, but you do need high res artwork for it. As I said, the white looks terrible so go with the black :)

haha, you caught me out, the images I used were very much of a lower resolution. To be fair photoshop has done a dandy go at making them bigger without killing them as much as it could have but I basicly didn't have enough time to sort out such issues and to be fair on the print out they don't look as bad.

I litterly did them this morning. I did notice the major issues with the white version but by the time I'd sorted through getting the actual information out of people it was getting on and I was getting bored of having to do the roughing off it.

I'm a little curious to know what your meaning with the leaf bit on the black and surely they same problem would occur with both sets of images as both have been scaled up? If you get my theoretical confusion?

I think I'm getting you what you want for your birthday too, but you won't get it till I come to visit at christmas and I'll be for both Christmas and birthday.

Basically as the image is dark, the poor edging of it is hardly noticable on the black version compared to the white. The overall quality looks the same, it just doesn't look as bad and you can't see the pixelatted edges as much. The white one is just blatent :)

And, eh, birthday, I only thought about what to ask mum and dad for yesterday when they asked for a list. It completely slipped my mind that it was so close, lol. You don't have to get me anything, I probably won't be getting you anything due to a complete and utter lack of any sort of money what so ever. I doubt I'll be able to afford to get any one any chrimbo presents either. Life sucks when you're stuck working all of one and a half days a week with bugger all financial aid from the government.
