I d/led and watched GITS 2 : Innocence and I was kinda dissapointed. Graphically it was excellent and the soundtrack was good, albeit very eerie, but I felt something was missing, granted Kusanagi Motoko wasnt in it and she was the main star of the last one, i adapted to the fact that Aramaki dude and Batou were the "main" characters of this one though.

imo: I didnt touch on GITS but it was still very good.

I have to agree, with all of those sentiments, GITS2 really made me go ooo on the graphics side, the new prequal to Appleseed was ment to do that but just didn't in anyway like GITS2 did. The Soundtrack on GITS2 yeas was very eerie, and I loved that.

stuff stuff want more good anime to watch. Have you seen Voice Of A Distant Star yet? If not my rents should be coming up for a short while over the next month so I can send it back with them. - A
