Unfortunately this will also mean that when someone nicks your phone they know exactly who to call and upset by claiming to have kidnapped you or whatever. (Yes I once had some random whose phone I borrowed to call my parents do this. Not nice.)

Its a good idea unless you happen to be friends with somebody with a cheesy nickname like 'ice' who would not be very good in an emergency..say like vanilla ice...

however seeing as i dont know vanilla ice or anybody else called ice i may well do this...
