Word! I loved the way Takeru evolved, how he grew from this sunshine boy with this huge heart to a teenager who has issues and angst and knows that he has flaws. But he still has that huge heart, and he's still optimistic, he's just gotten older and has had to face a few realities that have, understandably, influenced him and his personality. He's seen firsthand what dwelling in that angst and loneliness can do to somebody, saw what it did to Yamato, but that doesn't mean he's immune to it. It's those shades of his character that make him interesting, that splash of dark that makes his light so radiant (that is without a doubt the corniest thing I've ever written XD) and, to quote goth!TK, it destroys me when people write him as simpering and perfect without any of the spunkiness that makes him so awesome, or as being the little boy he was in Adventure in a grown up body.
