The continued lack of references to 02 continues to be interesting. If Daisuke, Miyako, Iori and Ken really aren't going to show up/have minimal input, I at least hope there's a plausible plot-related reason for it (if there can be such a thing), and it's not just that they used up all of their character-design budget or they figured nobody would miss them. I'd miss them!! But I'll still keep my fingers crossed for the original eight getting stuck in the Digital World again, that would be a-OK XD

I've been thinking about Takeru a lot in these images, actually... he always looks so serious :| Is he going through some sort of pubescent teenage angst? Is he starting to take after Yamato more and more? Has he decided that he's too good for his (admittedly bizarre) taste in headwear? YOU'RE NOT TOO GOOD FOR IT, TAKERU. EMBRACE YOUR INNER GILLIGAN.

At least Mimi still thinks hats are cool. X3

Yeah, real different from the usual Takeru. Yamato actually looks less serious than him, huh. Plot twist: He's now the most mature out of all the others.

Second plot twist: After years of being "the angsty one," Yamato decided to become the practical joker of the group, dispensing wedgies, noogies, and arm burns to all of his friends. It looks like Koushiro is about to become his first victim. Run Kou!! DX

I assumed Mimi's hat was lost too. I guess someone (Palmon? Gennai?) Found it and kept it! Awww :)

Agree about the cable car awesomeness. I live this one more than the first promo pic.

And while 02 doesn't hold up as well for myself, I hope the entire series isn't gonna be erased like the Star Trek canon in the new movie series. I thought Ken especially had a well thought out arc, and I'd love to see him back in particular.

Ooh, I don't know if I could decide which one I like more! I think they both make me feel different things (some variant of, "holy cow I love these characters so freaking much I can't wait till spring," but different things nonetheless) :)

Hopefully the planners choosing to call it "tri" is a good indicator that it's going to be a continuation and not an aged-up reboot or attempt at an alternate universe. I agree that 02 doesn't hold up as well as Adventure, but if given a choice between "accept 02 and all of its flaws as canon" and "ignore 02 and pretend it never happened," I would pick the former. I want to catch up with ALL of the Chosen Children and find out what they've been up to! X3

Original voice cast? Yesyesyes! I really hope the fact that they're revealing the returning *Digimon* cast does not mean bad news is in store for the *human* cast. I'll just choose to believe that they're taking this moment to celebrate the Digimon partners...Since this is really their big "Visual" reveal. ^_^

The Digis all look fantastic, and Tailmon looks like such a kitty cat, ugghh <3

Why is Yamato the only one wearing long sleeves? Too much arm exposure in the original series and now he has to make up for it? They all seem to be wearing the same outfits, down to the shoes, as in the first picture (So there's a possibility that they fell into Digiworld?! Eek!), except all of the boys had long sleeves there. (Except possibly Taichi, since he was wearing a sweater.) Hmm

Yes!! That's my hope too. Come to think about it... has the Adventure Blu-ray and accompanying drama CD dropped yet? I wonder if that would yield any other voice actor clues... or not. But, the drama CD is definitely something I want to look into more, especially if someone translates it! *sob*

GatoTailmon is adorable; I want to pet her so bad. I'm sure Digimon HAVE to be hypoallergenic-- it would be too cruel to find out that you were allergic to your digimon partner!! Gabumon is also really cute flopped down on the grass like that ^_^

You're right about the sleeves. Yamato just HAS to be different, doesn't he? Is it hot there in the Digiworld, kids, or is it just you? XD I think Hikari had long sleeves in the other picture too. Hmm indeed!
