same director. honestly I thought it was a bokura no war game ripoff :(

oh i see, guess he's a big fan of 'war games' since he's basically based two movies from it now.

Wow... Yeah it's likely the same production studio and director, but damn! It looks almost identical, scene for scene, to our war game. >_> It's like a mix of Digimon and .hack. Kinda disgusts me when things are too similar.

I LOVE this movie. =) It looks like Hosoda Mamoru always had the inner wish to make his own story with the whole word wide concept, internet connecting pepople and stuff... but he had to start at some point. Digimon was like a prototype or sth. xD I'm really glad he finally did it 100% his own way!

Similar though it might be, I personally think that it looks awesome. I want to see it now.

It's like a more developed Our War Game almost, but without the Digimon.
