Thanks for the tutorial... I'll refer to it if need be :-)
I've been thinking about you and Ru today and wondering how things are. I guess there's nothing new to report and it's early days yet, but I'm sending you both my love and best wishes.
I am totally in awe of your photoshop skills and now I've read this, I'm even more in awe. You may think this is easy stuff, but for the technically challenged like me -oh boy, am I challenged- I usually end up with a pic and a great big white hole in the centre. Which is why I send stuff to you!! :)
Spoke to Ru about half an hour ago -thanks for taking the phone in. xx
Thanks Lynne, she rang me this afternoon telling me her appetite's coming back, which is good. Went to see her this evening with Pat who'd made her some ham sandwiches, which she ate. She is looking and sounding better to. They still haven't found out what's wrong with her though, hopefully they will soon, and fix her up as good as new.
Oooh - so that's what the layer mask is for! Never used it, obviously (I'm entirely self-taught on Photoshop), but I shall have to try it out once I have my computer back! So far I always used the eraser and/or clone and/or smudge tool with various opacity settings for this kind of blending. With the obvious disadvantage that you can only go back step by step.
Hi Chris, Once you get used to using the layer mask, you'll wonder why you never used it before. Hope you find this tutorial useful, and I shall pass on the good vibes to mom - thanks :) hugs you back.
