I guess this weekend is my last weekend of going out before exams are over, even though I only went out on Friday night and there is a cutters party next Friday which may weaken my resolve... No. Must study! I think I’ve seen enough cut copy for a while, especially if you include Darlin on fri night.

Fri night was an interesting one. MSTRKRFT blew ( Read more... )

A good ol' Google search reveals that "water" refers to links we have with everyone other than our family. ie. Friends, associates, etc. So basically the saying means that the ties we have with family are stronger than the ties we have with anyone else.

Well that must make you and me sisters then Lynda....when James and I were over in Perth, not one...but TWO groups of people (on separate occasions within one week) both thought James and I were brother and sister! Much hilarity ensued.

Good to hear the ole Euro metallers were swell.
I wish I was going to Cannibal Corpse tomorrow.

Hell, I reckon you don't have too much to worry about re: other people doing amazing and creative things - you have done heaps, like volunteer stuff. You make me feel like an utter brick! I can't even be fucked writing a livejournal entry! I just do homework / go to work / go to the pub. That's it.

Anyway, I hope your essays are going well - mine is pretty crap - and that your cat gets better :) See you Thursday!

well, at least you do homework. actually getting something useful out of your time at uni! i've realised how little i've done over the past few months and how little fun the next month or so of my life is going to be. i dont' even know what i'm going to focus on in my S&E essay, tho i will be doing the ecotourism essay cos it seems the least wanky.
You're not a brick. You're taking me in your suitcase back to Vietnam, and that's pretty cool by me... hehehe

man that autograph man book blows... super hard. seriously though... i noticed some kickass books on that borders 3 for 2 shelf:
apart from previously discussed salman rushdie (get it! get it!) and zadie smith... there was also Kazuo Ishiguro's "Never Let Me Go" which was shortlisted for the Booker last year and John Banville's "The Sea" which won said prize... pretty awesome. I'd go for a Banville, Smith, Rushdie combination... actually they were all books that were in Booker contention, if I'm not mistaken...

yeah, i went and bought On Beauty yesterday, and i thought "3 for 2, why not?" and then i realised i really shouldnt' spend $50 on books in one hit AND i figured you'd be getting Never Let Me Go and i can just borrow it off you. See. Rational. :)
Though there were a few books there that were tempting. Have to stop impulse buying and getting back into Saving Mode.
