Angus Loten reviews an Accenture survery (2006) released earlier this month that shows differences in the ways men and women handle customer service. The online survey of 1,000 people found that women would tend to ask to speak to a manager, while men would rather hang up and call back later. I used to just hang up but then I realized it didn't really get me anywhere aside from making me more annoyed and frustrated and less likely to call back and actually get the problem fixed.

So now I just ask to speak to a manager right off, if it's for something more complicated than the first defense phone people can deal with. It's better for all of us, in the long run -- I don't get annoyed and frustrated when they can't help (or understand) my problem, and they don't get yelled at for being useless idiots. It's not really their fault that they aren't given enough information or authority.

All right so this is all anecdoty now. *lol* I've been missing a whole week of this stuff??

Nah, I kept it a secret until I had a week's worth logged, so that hopefully people would be able to find one of the posts they felt like commenting on when I finally unveiled the sekrit projekt. Congratulations on being the first!
