Calvert et al. (2003) put preadolescent children into a MUD (online game) with other children they did not know, and studied their interactions. The children's gender was apparent by their character in the game, so while the children did not know each other, they knew the gender of the other child they were interacting with. Girl-girl pairs

I wonder how things have evolved since then, since I can't play wihtout hurting my wrist. I know a lot of women who play World of Warcraft but I don't know anything about it... I do think it has a lot of teamwork though involved in the killing. (right there must be killing, it 's "war"craft after all...)
