Schneider et al. (2000) used functional Magnetic Resonance Images (fMRI) to look for a difference in brain activation during happiness and sadness in males and females. I can add, anecdotally, that besides an inability to spell anecdotally while typing it the first seven times, I've noticed a very, very obvious tendency to cry MUCH more often post-op. In fact, it's got a name: the Daily Weep. Seriously. It's true I occasionally now go a day without crying, but it's not often. And I am, as you know, Dan, rather a happy bunny in general.

It's worth mentioning that pre-testosterone, I would have to have a good wet sobbing cry at least once a week, just to blow off steam, and that I could do it pretty much on command, so I could get it out of the way.

Now I just have to wank to blow off steam, and in a lot of ways, it doesn't work as well.
