Hey, how did they keep your mouth open while you were 'asleep'? Did they use one of those metal, clamp-support thingies? If so, my ULTIMATE SYMPATHIES.
It seemed to be made of plastic, but I couldn't see it. And when they took it out and left to go get my wheelchair, I thought they had left part of it in and attempted vain efforts to remove my lower lip.

LMAO. When I had teeth removed, I did the same. I kept rubbing my face, wondering what that weird, puffy thing was. Yeah, it was my lower lip. Covered in spit.
Yes. Lip tissue is very weird when you actually feel it. Especially when spit-covered and unidentified.
BTW, I also laughed my ass off when I read your post. Which has caused the girl who was sitting next to me to turn sharpely, give me a funny look, and leave. Pfft. Like I wanted to sit next to her anyways.
