Ok, so I am in desperate need of assistence from you guys. I have been really getting back into Sailor Moon lately: I found this gorgeous fanartist who is amazing, been re-watching the anime in its original japanese and re-reading the manga ... basically, I am dying for Usagi & Mamoru fanfiction. I am trying to read more because I want to get back ( Read more... )

XD I think the inuyasha fandom also has one of the worst, when I was into it big time there were some really GOOD authors, when IY was a small fandom, then the fandom grew when it was aired in English and that is when the fandom went down hill and fics were easy to come by, but badly written (I think my own were crap). The BSSM fic!fandom maybe about the same in that respect! XD

I only read yaoi fics nowadays~ least you know what to expect with those LOL

:/ I feel for you. Nothing worse than having your fandom infiltrated by Those Who Make the Fic World Mourn.

-giggles- I've never read yaoi fics actually. I'd be afraid what I'd find! I did read Loveless, who had some of the best writers I have ever found (in original fiction and fandom) and I found one or two with Sirius/Remus. Oh, and one really good Samurai Champloo writer. Hers are mainly smut but what made her so spectacular is that her stories were so solid, even though the main issue was the eventually sex. :P But it wasn't PWP. Actually, that was the first time I had read yaoi in words not manga form. lol.

I only read certain yaoi fics. My true love series 'FAKE' has some the best authors imo and Vassalord has a nice and small fandom and also has good authors. There are like only two Hardaki fics I actually liked... shame really. I can't read any View Finder or Junjou Romantica fics (those fandoms are to large!)

Hee. You and Fake. ;)

You're right though -- once a manga and anime hits "mainstream" the quality of fanwork heavily diminishes. -_-

Is View Finder becoming an anime, btw?

LMAO, you never fail to make me smile with your rants about writing 8) ♥

Unfortunately I am unable to help you with this particular fandom but I'll keep a lookout for any other fandoms you get into :D

P.S. Letter sent todayyyyyy!

Heehee. Thank ya, lovie. ;) If you knew what I had to go through, you'd totally be the same way. One of the SUMMARIES (summaries, not mind you) involved "so-and-so has come to steel her away..." And I exploded. If you are misspelling words in your SUMMARY than your fic must surely have no hope whatsoever.

P.S. Letter sent todayyyyyy!
Yaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yours too! Hee. :D

i haven't read any BSSM fanfic in over a decade but the only two i ever liked were AU, which i don't think you're interested in. i had my fill of on-topic SM writing by roleplaying as Makoto in several groups. XD

also, yes, FF.net is mostly filled with crap.

Heehee. You RP'd?? That is so cool! I used to do that obsessively! my gosh. A lot of fun but can be very annoying when you have CRAP people playing your favorite characters. lol.

FF.net should be bombed from this universe.

yep! it really helped develop my writing skills. and i was lucky enough to be in groups with wonderful writers. i was so envious of how well they embodied their respective characters!

haha yes :3
