It started at 30 mins to midnight. We were at Pman's cousin's wedding in Ireland and i was rather happy getting to know my extended family in law much better. It was so weird because i realised that most of them were farmers and real country folk. Very true, as I age I find that I really just want to spend time with the people that matter on my birthday. So this year it's just going to be me and Merrill at the Racha in Phuket although I'll probably have a simple dinner with the girls before that.

What a brillant idea to get rings for each other's birthdays! I've only done that with the sister but friends are a whole new ballgame! I don't think my besties and I could come to a compromise on a jewellery item we can all agree on. It sure beats sending an e-voucher.

yeah we were committed to getting something we all liked. In the end one of us doesn't do rings so she wears it in a chain around her neck. i guess what we have isn't just 'best friends'. it's a support group and a secret society so we need evidence of membership (though anyone with access to tiffanys could pretend..)

skydiving? easy lah. hang on to the guy and close your eyes! we found a skydiving club in dundee, only an hour and a bit away!

It's something I've always wanted to do.... And I was SO going to do it this June in Melbourne before the bloomin' H1N1 killed my trip :(
