The ultimate and absolute evil is the refusal to take an interest in existence.

agreed!
So many people don;t even *think* about abortion; about the fact that 4000 people, in the US alone, get butchered before they have a chance to take their first breath

Politically correctness is LITERALY killing us : (

I often look at people my age and younger and just *know* they have never truly thought about their existence and what role, if any, it plays in the grand spectrum of the universe. I can't help but constantly ponder my existence and yet I'm let baffled and angered at people who never so much as even ponder anything past the superficial.

It is bizarre to meet people that really do not believe they have any real intrinsic worth.

Forget people our age and younger, I would say the majority of our world is guilty of this, perhaps most especially the generation or two before us.

Is it really that bizarre? I don't believe that humans or life for that matter, has any real intrinsic worth. I believe though, that we allocate worth to ourselves and other life around us. I also believe that in order to live within the confines of a somewhat civilized society, we must place value on life.
