to me, there's absolutely nothing like christmas back in sweden. i have such memories of sitting in the dark gymnasium while the lucia train came through! it's a celebration of light and saint lucia. here are some of our christmas songs:

sankta lucia:

nu tändas tusen julejus (now (we) light a thousand christmas lights):

tomtarnas julnatt (i don't honestly remember if this was the name or not, but it sounds right):

staffan var en stalledräng/staffanvisan (this is my childhood favorite!):

nu är det jul igen (now it's christmas again):
