One or two days before the „Miracle Day“ Convention John Barrowman announced on his Twitter that he had unexpectedly a weekend off, and would be found at the Hollywood convention

It sounds like you had a blast already and it's just getting started! That meet and greet sounds awesome. It's kind of funny that it's Eve you remember talking to the most and not one of the guys--it sounds like she was really getting into the spirit of things and was lots of fun. That bit with her and Gareth and the Glove sounds hilarious.
I love the pic of you with the Glove! Be careful, that kind of power can go to your head. Look what happened to Suzie. ;)
I'm very curious now to know what went on at the "Countrycide" screening. They screened it at Dragon!Con two years ago while Kai Owen provided a running commentary and it was hilarious. I can only imagine what the others might do with it!
Cons are the best when you can meet (old and new) friends there.
I was only ever at one con (FedCon), but David Gareth-Lloyd was there too. His panel was nice, but I remember that not many people wanted his autograph. Well, actually, everyone only wanted David Hewlett's and Joe Flanigan's autographs. All the other stars had gone from the autograph room about an hour before them. //)
Although I wouldn't say that Fedcon is the best for meeting old friends. Last year was my first Fedcon ever, so far I had avoided it as I like much more the smaller themed ones, like this Starfury con was. Or all the Stargate cons I have attended in my life.
But at Fedcon, there are so many Star Trek actors I don't know and don't care about ;) And it is not enough coming for just one or two I like. But I had hoped to meet many old friends I hadn't seen in years and while I did meet them, there was not much time for conversations, as everyone always was in a hurry to go somewhere. Not like in Birmingham, where we would have breakfast together and evening meals.
The date already is set for next year, but it is in London this time, not Birmingham. And they hope to get the full cast, well, good luck with that! I wait a little yet till I decide whether to buy a ticket.
But I probably should go on with that convention report!
