"Jack and the Beanstalk" with Greg Barrowman

We're just back from the panto. It was my first panto ever and I loved it. It was quite a shock to hear about John falling off the horse in the afternoon but at least we came prepared so the surprise that he wasn't playing wasn't too big. Of course I also all the time compared Greg and thought how would John do this. But it is amazing how much alike they are. From far away you really could think he's John at times. And he really did so well. We also met him at the stage door afterwards and he was just lovely. Got autographs and pictures with him. I think they threw a huge party for him afterwards as all the stars headed to the other building.

I don't know the "real" show but they did a few changes. The biggest one - he did not ride on the horse, just walked next to it. He also did not crawl over the audience to get his toilet rolls back. And there were a few jokes about his cousin and that Greg was "Jack 2.0" and also Janet looked under his kilt and said "He's a true Barrowman".

The "12 days of Christmas" were hilarious as well, he was laughing quite a bit. Hope I'll get a chance to see John tomorrow though!
