Art: Pastell background

Seeing dustbunny105's colorful Transformer collection I compared it with my pastel, wanted to put up a link - and found I had never posted these pictures that you are about to see now. Here are some examples of what my imagination had aimed for. I need to find a way to do this. When I'm not playing with figures that is ;) I have so much nice paper and paints and pencils but somehow no idea anymore what to do with them. All the creativity goes into the figures it seems.

Ahh, I'm glad my post prompted you to post these! The pics of your pastels are so satisfying. And the picture is honestly quite nice. You did some great color blending in there! The improvement is still definitely noticeable between this and the other pictures you linked. Excellent work!

Thank you! Yes, I love all the colors, I should do more with it. Seems that all my creativity goes into the figures these days.
