Jul 20, 2016 17:17

I am cleaning my inbox (some of you may have wondering why I am commenting on months or years old stuff) and just found this recommendation again that I sent to analineblue a long time ago. In November 2014 to be precise. Wonder if you ever read it ( Read more... )

that sounds like fun. RPF always take a bit of convicing for me, but over the years found a few that were quite nice, so might give these a try :)

It's been a while since I read them but I remember that I was really impressed. Very well written, and the author thought of a lot of small details that made the fish out of water in the new world very nice and round. And also the relationship between the two main characters comes over very nicely. I don't recommend stuff lightly ;)

And in a comment beyond kanarek13 just confirmed that they are good LOL

Hope you'll enjoy them!

I'll have a go, if you recommend them. The first one seems particularly promising to me :) I've read a nice fic once about Sherlock and Benedict swaping places. I wasn't thrilled by the overall plot but there were some nice little things like Sherlock complaining about the taxi not coming the second he wants one, like they do in the series. I thought Sherlock was a perfect character for such a fanfiction but now I think Neal is even a better one - the master of pretending!

Well, I hope you liked them! If you do, please let the author know. I haven't read them recently but I do remember that it was the kind of story that left me with a warm fuzzy feeling at the end and how impressed I was by all the small little things the author thought of, that would be the differences between the two worlds. Some really pulling on the heart strings ( ... )

I've read the first one for now and I enjoyed it. Time for the second one.

Have you ever watched "Galaxy Quest"?
No, what's that? *googles it* Oh, it's that film with Alan Rickman where he has prostethics. I've seen a clip on youtube once. Do you recommend it? It sounds fun! And there's Alan Rickman there so that's another reason to watch it.

I liked your description of differences between cartoon and a film or reality. Very clever idea for a fanfic. Have you posted it somewhere?

Yay, glad you enjoyed it! I probably should re-read them so we can talk them properly, it's been so long. Glad that I still had the links ( ... )
