I should go back to that, it is so much fun, thinking about the shape and what it could be. Here are some of the ones I did ( ( Read more... )

Thank you very much!

Oh yeah, I've done the chestnuts as well. Some of them are in my first post, which was linked above.

Thank you very much! I totally had forgotten about these so it was a huge surprise re-discovering them.

Oh, these are great! I love the seals/walrus, and the half-a-pea ladybug is so precious!

I'm amazed how you can work on such small scale and still have so much detail in!

Thank you very much! Have you clicked the other link as well? There may be more things that you may like (or did I show them to you already?)

As for small scale, you should see the dashboard of my made from scratch K.I.T.T. car (from Knight Rider). Not sure if you can really see it in these pictures: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/18142.html

There were a lot of thin lines. I basically left a thin white line and painted the rest black. I used the ink pens we had when I learnt the technical drawing, they were perfect as they come in differen sizes and the thinnest is quite thin.

Also, when we made the switch from GDR money to D-Mark, I actually drew the bank notes. With every thin colorful stripe. I've never looked at a banknote that closely before. I have no idea why it did not occur to me to just photocopy them.

Not sure if you can call it dedication or craziness ;)
