Art: Happy Hippos (Kinder eggs)

After the world had changed in 1989 and we suddenly got all the stuff from Western Germany but I still went to school, instead of collecting all the stickers that came with those cute Hippo figures, I drew them whenever a class-mate had a new one

You're also definitely younger than me. I graduated high school in 1980. LOL

I ended my ten years at school in May 1990. It was an interesting time, because suddenly stuff we had learnt all the time was not true anymore. Poor teachers. For example, we learnt lots about the Soviet Union... They had a hard time coming up with innocent questions for the geography exams. They went back to geological stuff, that was politically safe.

Also I did not have to go to the Russian exam. Only those that wanted to.

From September 1990 till 1993 I went to study for my job. But I do remember drawing these in my old school class, so it must have been in those few months before graduation.

My little brother was born in 1980 ;) Stephen Amell was born in 1981. This is why I can't fancy him. Sorry if I made you feel old!

D'awwww... I still have them in a box somewhere :D Sadly, not the whole set but a few :D The only set I was able to collect were the green turtles :D

Yeah, the turtles were also cute and then there were also dinos! You needed to eat a lot of chocolate to get them all - not that I'm complaining LOL
