Aug 20, 2010 13:07

Just a quick note for all that wait for the next installment of my convention report. Today I brought my laptop for reparature and it might take a week or so till I get it back. Therefore I cannot reach my photographs at the moment. I will continue my report as soon as possible ( Read more... )

Yeah, well, at least I have internet access at work, so not completely deprieved ;) But yeah, I had hoped for less time to get it back, but with the new hard drive it takes longer.

Did you see the first part of the convention report? You haven't replied yet, so I'll copy the link in here:

I feel for you. I lost most of my photos with a burnt hard drive, and my Mum has had something similar happen with her antivirus lately ... what is it with electronics right now?

Hope it all comes back in tip top condition! And I look forward to the rest of your report :)

I am pretty confident to get it all back, I was a customer at this reparature office before and I trust them. It is not completely lost (I hope!), just Windows is very slow at the moment, Explorer doesn't open etc, possibly because of the failed/not completed installation of that programme.

Thank you for your good wishes!
So, what about your time in Vancouver? Anything to tell the world about?

Oh, don't worry, the pictures are not lost. Windows was just extremely slow, so I could not even open the explorer. Therefore, no access to the pics.

Also, I downloaded them all to Paya's laptop in Vancouver, and she makes so much better pictures than me anyway. Many of our shots are of the same things, we were together all the time.

BTW, she posted her first pictures here:

Größere Festplatte hört sich gut an! Das kann nie schaden! ;-)
