AFT Doctor Who: Episode "Journey's End"

Sep 03, 2015 21:49

One of my favourite episodes as it was a crossover with "Sarah Jane Adventures" and "Torchwood" and had all of them working together in flying the TARDIS. There is no figure of Jackie so she is hidden behind the TARDIS pole ;)

Thank you! It's always a hassle to set up the whole set but so worth it! The thing in the middle even moves and has sound.

It looks so real!

I don't have to mention I love that episode, do I? ;) Everyone in the TARDIS, driving the Earth back home. One of the bect moments in Doctor Who history.

Was the TARDIS' console an individual element or did you buy it with a figure, presumably the Dotctor's?

No, it does not come with any figure. I bought the whole set - console, walls, floor, there is even the hatstand and the hammer that is hanging at the rail, and the padded handrail and the seat of course. This is what the set looks like complete - for some odd reason they only include two wall panels, so I had to copy them to make more: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dr-Who-Tardis-electronic-lights-sounds-Playset-/121745958990?hash=item1c589fe84e

It even lights up and has sound and moves!

One of the best episodes indeed. I loved how also those that were not in the TARDIS - Torchwood and also Harriet Jones, let's not forget her - did their part to help.

Which episode was this? I'm pretty much a classic who watcher but I'd be interested to catch one of the more modern ones which sounds decent.

It’s the second part of a two-parter in the middle of season 4, they are called “Stolen Earth” and “Journey’s End”. I am seriously wondering though whether you will have the same emotional response to seeing this multi-crossover with so many people working together if you don’t have any previous attachment to Rose, her mother Jackie, Mickey, Martha, Donna, her grandfather Wilfred (Bernard Cribbins who is awesome!)… So maybe try a few others first, to get to know them better? Have you seen any new Who at all? Or would this be your first? I’d love to be your guide ( ... )

Thank you! It was a wonderful multi cross-over. I also loved to see Harriet Jones back. If this would have been the end of the seris it would have been a worthy one.
