Dark Archer Arrows

So, I am calling all Arrow experts here (yes bloodsong13t I am looking at you)
Yesterday I said that the Dark Archer figure came with the same Arrow like Oliver Queen. But comparing them today I realize, this is not true.

The Dark Archer's is longer (John would love that):

Hm, I don't know about the coloring, sorry to say. That's odd that they have one green and yellow one when the rest in his quiver are black. :S I wonder what the thinking was on that, especially since the length and shapes are different? If they were exactly the same, you'd figure they were just reusing Oliver's arrows but they clearly were made separately. So why paint them like that??? *confused face*

Looking at this article, in particular, this picture, Malcolm's arrows look completely black, so I'd think you'd be safe to paint it all black and still be authentic to the show. ;)

Thanks! I did it now, just with an Edding, and the result is splendid! It's in this post:

(and yes, this is a different post than the other one I pointed you to in my other comment earlier)

I AM spamming right now, am I? I so don't care LOL

i recommend staring at this: http://bloodsong13t.deviantart.com/art/Dark-Archer-Full-Draw-513928601

hahhaa!

although with the lighting, the arrow looks brown instead of black. it is black, and the fletching is all black. the arrow head is totally different from oliver's classic arrowhead-shaped arrow heads... :X it's a 3-vaned hunting point, if i'm not mistaken.

the head can be steel, or perhaps it is varnished steel, so it is black, with only the sharpened points/edges being as reflective.

that's my wholly uninformed opinion. ;)

Astra is staring... and staring... and staring... um, what was the question again?

You're too late ;) In the "The Dark Archer is not flexible" pictures it is already black. But as someone said, they did his bow the wrong way around... the riser, where the arrow is supposed to go, is on the wrong side. When he holds it in his left hand, it should be on the right of course.

Should I paint the edges a bit of silver to have some glint? Uah. Love the idea.
