Thank you! I really had not planned anything naughty like that, it just happened once I put it all together ;) Jack is influencing me.

Thankfully today we had nice sunshine and blue skies, the past few days there was a terrible storm and rain and even snow. Does not feel like Spring at all, still very cold!

Too funny! Oh, the Doctor is a bit clueless, isn't he? A hen isn't needed for breeding (it seems that part is done), but for incubation... then he messed that up too by bringing the wrong gender. Sigh...

Besides, all you need is an incubator; I'm sure the TARDIS can provide.

This was so funny, though, I loved it!

Oh, we have a hen if he really wants one to incubate. Wrong species, though, and the eggs would be a bit much for her to handle.

All of which begs the question... what was the Doctor doing with that cock?!? (Did I just say that? I guess I did.... *blushes furiously and runs away*)

Thanks!

I'm afraid that part is due to me not being a native speaker ;) I should have probably asked a native speaker but was too eager to get the pictures out. I was wondering whether the dictionary was right. I know that breeding is actually bringing two birds together, but the dictionary also offered it in the other sense.

Another word it offered me for "to sit on eggs" was "to hatch" but I thought this to be even more suspicious, as isn't hatching when the egg opens and the little chicken comes out? So I decided against that. And I didn't want to write "for sitting on eggs", that would have been weird and too long.

But if it helps to add humor to the situation, why not ;) Since the Doctor is often portrayed as asexual I'm sure he would not much care either way.

(Did I just say that? I guess I did.... *blushes furiously and runs away*)See? See? That's what happened to me! I swear I only wanted to take nice Easter pictures, the punch line was ( ... )

I thought the "breeding" part was hilarious; now it's even more so! We use the word "incubation" for that here.... Probably the cock would have been warm enough to suffice for that, if it would stay still long enough!

Male penguins actually do incubate their eggs, while the females head out to sea to feed and store up food for the babies when they hatch, so there you go!

Nobody knows how big the TARDIS is and what she may have hidden inside. Sort of like the Doctor's pockets, you never know what you will find in there, either (well, except a kettle and a ball of string... apparently)!

Well, when Jack's around....
