The costumes are one of my favorite parts of conventions too! People get so creative. And sometimes just bizarre!

Gwen's daughter is adorable!

Yes, I think I mean prize indeed! Thank you. In German, both kinds are spelled Preis, so that's why I mixed it up. I guess I should go with award instead, so there's no confusion ;)

Now I can't tell whether you mean with "Gwen's daughter" actually Gareth's daughter, or the girl that was as hyperactive as Eve Myles ;)

You should have heard the crowd when the sex gas was announced (this also goes back to the Midnight convention in 2012, where Gareth made those sex-gas noises all the time). It also shows that you need to have a really good idea and then go with it.

Not sure if you can see the ape properly - I have seen one like that before when in our warehouse Kipling was giving out little monkeys. The man is walking on the gorilla legs, the legs in the cage are fake. But the upper body is real and the gorilla is fake. I really like this.

I think I got the just of the ape costume, yeah. But I had to do a double-take to figure it out. :)

I guess you're right, I couldn't choose either. Although I think that people like Asterix and Obelix have a hard stand as usually the cool sci-fi stuff will get chosen.

I wished they would have stood still for a while so you could really look at the costume, they were walking in very fast and around and out again.

Great costumes! But there always are, at conventions. I love it that Kai kissed the Male Gwen!!!

And of course Gareth's little girl is adorable!

We squeed loudly when that kiss happened ;) Kai is such a fun guy.

That guy dressed as "Sheldon Cooper" just decided to enter at the last minute with whatever he wore to the convention!

Haha really? Do you know him? I don't watch the series, so I don't know anything about the character.

I did wonder in general though why there was so much non-Torchwood-related stuff. Or at least sci-fi related.

I don't watch it either, but the character may be bigger than the show (Big Bang Theory). But this guy looked nothing like him and, I mean, the character is just a geek, so there isn't really any special "outfit" to wear. Basically, this guy was phoning it in!

That's what I thought ;) I also wasn't sure with that Torchwood extra from Miracle day, whether it was really an outfit we had seen in the show, or just any ordinary shirt. Still, cudos for the idea!

I took part in a costume contest once, as a friend didn't want to go alone. It was for Stargate. The actress who played the Doctor was there, and I had remembered that I still owned a white lab coat from my business, and I put on something on my head and even had a nice prop, a snake that moves ;) But this was quickly thrown together, you can't compare it with any of the really wonderful cosplays one sees at cons.

So many cool costumes! my favorites were definitely Gareth's daughter - so cute - and the tenth Doctor. He looked so much like him.
