oh my gosh, man. you are a glorious person. jeezus. i can't even describe what this means to me; i think i'm crying right now. this was just an amazing look at three of england's boys and what they mean to him, and fffffffff. the comparisons you make are just brilliant and totally spot on. america especially was very interesting. i would never have thought of him that way, but it does make sense. birth and regrowth -- and (in hetalia canon at least) america was where england was allowed to be reborn. the last scene was amazing and sad. it's a very good explanation for england's crying while drinking -- they left him, and he's sad. and the last line. jesus. SHIT. you are amazing

I'm sorry! ||OTL

Your comment just flatters me to the deepest level. ♥ He may not show it, but England's a pretty sentimental guy in canon; he just doesn't show it much because he's all tsundere with everyone and yeah, you get the picture. ;P

I never thought about that bit regarding America. Now that I think about it, it makes for a nice parallelism. YOU SHOULD WRITE ABOUT IT. ♥ I'm a huge sucker for America fics, just so you know. ;P

Guh, thank you so much! ♥

that was really sweet and adorable, but it has this really sad air which i think sets it off perfectly.

poor england ;w;

[i loved the way you compared them to the seasons, and that article at the top is hilarious.]

Thanks so much! ♥ I'm glad the story conveyed itself that way to you; I tried to go for that effect.

Call me sadistic, but England is such a nice guy to "torment" in situations like this. His angst buttons really just wear him down big time. The upside is - it's a major facet that everyone simply adores. We can't deny that it's a major part of his character. Sure, fandom sometimes blows it out of proportion, but it's there. ;P

That seasons bit just struck me as a bit of an inspiration, hahaha. I'm glad it worked out!

england has one of the most well developed personalities, i guess that's why he's so popular.

and yeah, it is fun to show him all arrogant and confident, but it's always interesting to see him when things aren't going his way and it seems like it's all coming down on him.

/loves england too much

That's definitely true. Plus he has loads of screentime to boot. And he has different personas.

It's all part of who he is! ♥ Sure he's that cocky gentleman, but he has his weaknesses. He doesn't let them get to him; most of the time, anyway. He has got to stop every time he goes for a drink.

Don't worry. I feel about the same with Australia. It's only fair. ♥

Bro, this was adorable and dskfljslkfjsl just cute. And I really loved how they were compared to seasons.

Even if he was smattered with an agonizing assortment of cuts and bruises, little Australia continued to smile through a grimy face.
Ahahaha I had a really cute mental image from this. :'DDD

Thanks so much! /incomprehensible I'm glad that motif worked out! Srsly, I thought long and hard for a theme to go along, and four is such a hard number to think about.

If the original prompt asked for five, I would've squeezed New Zealand in easy.

I could just squish kid!Australia. Although I bet he'd give me a lot of headaches, being that boy who gets into fights all the time.

Ahaha, well I'm glade you were able to do it.

*sadface* if NZ was in it I'd... well I have no clue but I would be happy

Ahahaha, I'm sure he'd be as cute as heck but a terror like a Tasmanian Devil

It's all worth it in the end, certainly. ♥

Fanon!New Zealand mystifies me. I'd like to write him sometime. ... Any characterization ideas? XP

Tasmanian Devil

Shhh, you're spoiling my next fic. ;P

It has been a long time. I'm... I've been better considering it's about 6 a.m. right now, but I can't complain too much. Just trying to get back into the swing of school and what not. How are you?

I totally know how you feel. Just endure it!

Work's been pretty bleh, but I can go through it with a few energy drinks. I kind of know that those things are bad for my health, but yeah. Just can't seem to stop myself.

... brb bawing a little.

I love how you compared them all to different seasons while going down the memories that England has of them and his trying to reconcile that with the relationship that they share now. It's so sad that he feels left behind when he isn't at all, not really. If he was he wouldn't have been at the reunion in the first place.

Thanks so much for those kind words! ♥

Personally, I think that England has one of the most heartbreaking histories; being with his ex-colonies remain to be a big part of him. It's pretty much canon that's he still hanging on to his fond memories of little!America; I just thought "What about his other colonies?"

Time did fly fast for England. Like a thunderclap. They were all there, and then they were gone. It must have been jarring for England to experience that.

Those last words of yours. They warm my heart. C: England was, is, and will remain to be family, no matter what happens.

I think that it proves, most of all, England's age in relation to the others. They can't see life from his perspective because they've never gone through raising another nation, and always saw him as the older, authoritarian figure and never considered things from his point of view.

It was a pleasure reading. <3

Wiser words have never been said. You're really awesome in splicing England's psyche! And what you've said is absolutely true - they'd have to have a whole new set of eyes to see it in England's perspective. In the end, England only needs the right amount of empathy, not because he's a woobie sobbish person, but he's hurting until now, and any person would shed tears over such events.
