Jessie is waiting for tomatoes to land on her head.
Sorry.
By the way, some of the descriptions are left vague so that everyone can insert their bits of creativity in. =)

I have been getting questions about this so here goes:

Lee arrived an hour before the party was due to begin and half an hour before his shift was supposed to start. He’d been working at Dickey’s for a few days now, but the building never ceased to amaze him - it spoke of wealth and casual elegance in a way that was completely foreign to Lee’s nature. If he’d been a more self-aware person, he’d have felt out of place in his weathered jeans and dark green hoodie, but the invitation had said casual, and anyway, with so many gorgeous people due to arrive, he’d be the last one anyone was interested in looking at ( ... )

So apparently the noise he heard from upstairs was from the security guard.

As he left the new security guard by the name of Rock Lee to door duty, a sinking feeling began to form in his heart. Ibiki looked way more trustworthy compared to this bob head who was always too enthusiastic, too eager. But since Ibiki took leave today, he had to make do with what he could and Lee wasn't too bad actually. Itachi could tell from his physique that he definitely was trained in some form of martial arts and had kept up his training. He could probably easily defeat several thugs singlehandedly. It was just the attitude of his that Itachi didn't like.

So he decided to stay on the same floor as Lee but on one of the sofas, leaning back and making himself comfortable while waiting for the rest of the employees to come.

Some parties were unbearable. Dinner parties? Yes. College frat parties? Definitely. Work mixers? Christ.

Having to talk to people who had nothing to say was already bad enough. But having to talk to drunk people who tried to grab your tits every five minutes and still had nothing to say? You might as well put Temari on suicide watch. Electroshock therapy would be preferable to getting barfed on by inebriated morons, especially with what she usually wears. It wasn't like she enjoyed being stared at in tank tops and short skirts, but there was a large lack of femininity to compensate for. She did have to get laid somehow, after all ( ... )

By the time Genma arrived outside the building, he was already half-way to being drunk, body comfortably numb from a handful of codeine painkillers and had a half-bottle of Bell's whiskey stashed in his coat pocket. Mentally, he was in a shambolic state, but he didn't look half bad if he said so himself - he'd thrown on a pair of black low-slung corduroy jeans, baggy yet not so much that they were no longer flattering. They sat low on his hips, his gunmetal grey shirt unbuttoned at the top, exposing a long strip of lightly-tanned skin. He had a length of black twine tied around his neck, a few beads and a glossy black stone strung onto it. Genma had finished off his 'outfit' with a a pair of worn-out looking black and white converse on his feet. In all, he'd been pretty pleased with how he looked as he'd walked out of his front door, senbon needle firmly clasped between white teeth ( ... )

Lee nodded Temari through after a check of her ID and a quick, beaming smile, then turned to Genma.

"Hello! It is good to see you again! You are Genma, correct?"

Lee flipped through the manilla folder in his hand, pulling out a picture that matched the man standing in front of him, one of the glossies that Ibiki had put aside for him. He wasn't certain that the head of security had meant for them to be used in exactly this way, but how else was Lee supposed to tell who worked at Dickey's and who didn't?

"May I see your identification please, Genma-san?" Lee asked politely, holding his free hand out.

"I am indeed." He nodded, winking with a grin as he shoved his hand into the back pocket of his jeans, searching for his ID card, finally pulling it out and handing it over. He didn't know why ID checks were necessary, but still.

"So, am I okay to go through now? I've got a meeting with some exceptionally strong vodka." He grinned, his hand held out for his ID. He couldn't wait to get stuck in to some proper alcohol - he just hoped the music wasn't shit.

Lee tilted the card in the light, frowning at it, then nodded as he handed it back to Genma.

"You are fine to go through, but you should have that renewed soon. It expires next month."
