new sweater!

I always know it’s going to be a good day at work when I get to wear something I’ve made for the first time. No matter what happens at work, I have proof of my competence, right there on my back - “Well, you may have worked at this company for twenty years and know everything about it, but I made some of my clothes!”

I do like those sweaters! There's a group of women here who knit for charity; I spent an hour with them yesterday.

I generally choose to work in acrylic now because it's easy to wash. However, many years ago, when I had a woolen sweater with floppy wrists, someone suggested dipping the wrists in hot water, so that the wool there would shrink a little.
