I think you'll get used to it very fast ;) When I was all new to LJ I so often thought...Ok, WTF *lol* But after a while it makes all perfect sense to you :D

She was the one making me get and LJ as well...back then LOL. And now I love it , it has become my online home, the place where i met/am meeting lovely people form aorund the world (LMAO my flist is soo international)...and ..my shelter.....when things go wrong in RL or online...I LJ it..and feel better and my flist makes me feel better too
I hope you got all of what i just said , cause LJ slang can be a bit confusing if you're not into it yet.... Anyways...if you have time and you're up for it...you can check out my LJ and userinfo (to which you get when you click "behind the green eye" on my LJ)....and if you like you can add me as a friend...
see how i am keeping you busy, but trust me...in LJ everything is "lerning by doing"....so that can be your next little tast...friend people and join communities...you know..get social! LOL

yes I promise you ....the more you are visiting Lj land the more and more your confusion will go away...and you can make yourself a bit of a home here in YOUR LJ...and one can do a whole lot...like make yourself a layout or let others make that for you (like I didn't do anything myself , i had lovely people who did that for me).....and once you joind a few communites , getting social and friending new people will come autimatically...;-)
And you'll get used to it all.. plus of course there are people who will help you...and you will see...soon you won't even need help anymore... [says an ex newbie who now calls her LJ her online-home]LOL
as you see LOL I always write long comments...it's a habit of me I developed here in LJ especially LOL LOL...hope you don't mind..
