hello! I am visiting the D.F. this week (a friend is getting married in Cuernavaca on Saturday). By any chance would you be up for coffee/whatever? I have no recollection how we became lj-friends but perhaps we could figure that out. I'm coming with my g.f. and we are staying at a hostel near the independence monument on paseo de la reforma.

Not speaking so much of, say, drugs --although we say that todo es posible en esa cuidadad, than interests -- say, an English-speaking bike fanatic pilot to talk up. I love hooking people up!
Also if you want to do me a really nice favor, could you bring me a book (if it's good but 50c bin that would be the perfect level of happy and not-guilty-in-least)?

Awesome! Yes, we're arriving on the 15th at about 3pm. I was totally unaware of the bicentennial when I booked plane tickets! Yes, bikes sound super and I would love to see the casa biciteka. It would be particularly great to meet up with folks for the festivities. We're staying at this place.
