I hugely enjoy reading your political writings - you are very eloquent in your rage. When I try to write about the mess the country is in it tends to come out as "wharrgarbl" with too much swearing :/ The treatment of the proles makes me seethe.

Thank you both for saying nice things. I'm hoping to work on the main substance of that rant and try to get it posted somewhere other than just here. I'm also brewing another rant on synthetic phonics, but it's spectacularly niche, so I might have to fire that one off in an e-mail to my wee sister who is a primary teacher, because otherwise I'll keep on trying to crowbar it in to conversations with people who don't know much about education theory.

A lot of the time I just want to throw things at the government. Or kick David Cameron in the crotch and make unpleasant personal comments about his cabinet. Either works really.

Yes to everything; also, I'm still outraged that I can't vote here. Not that it would have made much of a difference, but to watch it slide down without even being able to make a tiny cross is just demoralising. And yes, I could get off the sinking ship. To another sinking ship.
