There were 20,000 people at the protest against the government cuts yesterday. I wonder what Ms Kilby from the Conservative think tank would say to anyone who suggested that *she* had a non-job and should go back home to raise children. It's odd that women who're vocally in favour of that kind of policy rarely seem to be keen on applying it to themselves - or to single parents.

It may be better news for women not to spend money on childcare any more and to look after their own children and fit jobs into the child's day

Forget the annual salary and self esteem, just focus on the childcare savings!

Good news for unemployed council office workers.

Bad news for childcare workers...

Who also tend to be women on low incomes.
