Self-discovery and Slow Bloom

Anah and I wrote Slow Bloom about two years ago, now. We've gotten better at this whole writing thing since then, but the themes Slow Bloom deals with haven't stopped being interesting to us. You and Anah absolutely, positively got it right in SLOW BLOOM. The story nails perfectly not only what it means and what it takes to be true to oneself, but what it means and how it happens that one discovers, explores, and embraces one's, er, more bent qualities. I hope the book finds the wide audience it deserves!

Yes, indeed; what so impressed me about the book was the way you and Anah spun a May-December (or really a May-October) romance into something that was about self-discovery, self-acceptance, and reinvention on both sides. I LOVED the birthday scenes, which were all about Ricky and Jack taking risks and letting the other see their true selves. I'm rambling, but I loved how your characters BECAME what each other needed by becoming their full selves.
