The door was in too close a proximity to where he slept.
I love that you include these kind of details. Dean's bed being closer to the door is one of the things that I think fandom has really come to embrace and, to me, nicely reflects Dean's whole "protect Sam" (even if Sam doesn't want to be protected) mantra.
And, heh, you broke Sam's ribs (AGAIN)! \o/ Bonus points for tazering him to the point of convulsions. What will you do to that poor boy next?! :P
