I like it! You can set up a routine and just go. The trainer is WAY less annoying than the Wii Fit one -- at least so far (and you can turn down the chattiness, I checked ( Read more... )

Umm, Wii Fit and the EA Sports Active game are two different things.

Having said that, the Wii Fit is a good start, but you will quickly outgrow it.

Right, but don't both of them need the balance board and doesn't the balance board come with Wii Fit?

A few of the exercises in the new one can use the balance board. It's not required.

Hey, if you want to get a Wii Fit too, don't let me stop you. (-: It's fun, but it's more of a toy than a way to get real exercise.

We capitulated, we'd been debating picking it up for a bit, and Target actually had some on the shelf. I think DS likes the skating and stuff, and that his toon is as tall as Dad's- but laments that he can't blow things up.

No, no lefty mode. It's not such a big deal working out, but I'm not so great aiming it with my right hand.

Sticking with the canned workouts for the most part. I got the 'make your own workout' achievement, though! DING!

Of course, what I still want for the winter is really good controls and display for my bike and mag trainer. One day...
